Item Info
About the product: About the product Manufacturer Grand Seiko Model 57GS Self Data Ref. 5722-9990 1965/04 Second Model Early Model AD Dial Movement Hand Winding Cal.5722A Case Steel (SS) 36.5mm Bracelet Strap Steel (SS) Original Pin Buckle Seiko Crocodile Strap [Unused] Accessories No accessories Dial [Silver]: Clean Condition [Overall scratched (can be removed by polishing)]: A clean, unpolished individual with no major scratches [overhauled]: Clean, with small scratches Comment Here is an introduction to the AD dial of the Grand Seiko 2nd model. Grand Seiko is broadly divided into the first half of the 43999 and 5722-9990 periods. Around 1965, the 2nd model had no AD notation from the AD dial, and the model number was changed from 43999 to 5722-9990 as the caliber was changed from 430 to 5722A. The notation on the back cover of this individual is 5722-9990, but the printing at the 6 o'clock position on the dial is “43999 T0.” It is a combination seen in the transition period around 1965, and although it is an AD dial, it has a 5722-9990 back cover, making it a romantic one. It is equipped with a hand-wound caliber 5722A (18000 vibrations). With a hack function and the ability to fast forward and reverse the calendar, it is an excellent movement that is both vintage and can be used today. There are SD dials, ED dials, and AD dials, but models that use SGP hard gold plating for the index are called AD dials. The official name is “AD/Applique Dial (applique dial)”. The engraving on the back cover and the lion medallion are also in good condition. The engraving on the back cover remains firm. The condition of the hands and dial is also “excellent,” and although the case has changed over time, the edges are sharp and the atmosphere is presumed to be almost unpolished. The modern design is fresh even now, characterized by thick legs. Since the case structure has thick dowels in the early days, windshield replacements are made to order.
