Louis-Ulysse Chopard was a Swiss watchmaker and founder of Chopard. when he was 24 years old, his name was well known in Switzerland and worldwide by his watches with a fresh design that looked like a work of art. He expanded the sales channels abroad and he acquired prominent customers such as Russian emperor Nikolai II. There is a representative work "Happy Diamond" where diamonds moves on dial in a case. Also Chopard is an official partner of the Cannes International Film Festival. They create a trophy for the Best Film Award (Palme d’or) of the Film Festival.
