Mido was founded in Le Locle at the foot of the Jura Valley, Switzerland by the watchmaker Georges Schaeren in 1918. Mido is named from "Yo mido (I measure)” in Spanish.
The discreet design stands out for high quality materials and elaborate finishing work. Currently it is a member of the Swatch Group.
