Arnold & Son
A watch maker founded in 2001 who honors the name of Arnold & Sun, the workshop of the legendary watchmaker. The location is La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland.
John Arnold inherited the technology from his father who was a watchmaker. In 1764 he presented a repeater watch on a ring to the King of the time: George III, submitted a marine chronometer to the Government Committee in 1770, and had a reward for high accuracy. Made other inventions such as detent escapement, bimetal balance, helical balance spring and invented numerous mechanisms.
