Watchmaker Florentine Ariosto Jones from the United States established the International Watch Company in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, in 1868.
It is sometimes abbreviated as “International”.
Currently they are under the Richemont group.
In-house developed movement is excellent in both performance and design, "Ingenieur" which has high magnetic resistance performance launched in 1955 is also highly popular in antique market. "Mark series" of the pilot watch was carrying the caliber 89 up to the mark 11, but after the mark 12, Jeager-lecoultre and Eta movement are adopted. Popular models include Portuguese, Mark Series and Aquatimer. The average sales price for IWC is A$7,627.
